The Groundbreaking quest in Arc Raiders takes place on the perpetually busy and dangerous Blue Gate map, and it has multiple objectives that send you to its northern region. If you’re looking to find the locked room at Pilgrim’s Peak, or need to know where to find the building pictured on the whiteboard, we’ll fill you in on how to complete this quest here.
You don’t need to extract to complete Groundbreaking, but you’ll receive the Blue Gate Communication Tower Key upon accepting this request, so you need to bring it into the raid with you. As such, you’ll want to bring an augment with a safe pocket so that you don’t accidentally lose this key during your journey to Pilgrim’s Peak. If you do lose it, you’ll have to wait to find another one (which is entirely random) or just hope you can catch the door open from someone else’s key at some point.
When you’re ready to complete the Groundbreaking quest, read on.
Enter the locked room at Pilgrim’s Peak
The first step in Groundbreaking is to head to Pilgrim’s Peak. This is the northernmost POI on the map and is commonly searched by other raiders for its high-tier loot. As such, approach this area with caution and be sure the Blue Gate Communication Tower Key is in your safe pocket.
When you arrive, head inside and find the locked door on the eastern side of the facility.

This door is easy to spot, though it’s always possible someone else will have opened it when you arrive. If that’s the case, save your key to use for a loot run later.
Head inside the room.
Search the room for any construction research
Inside the room, interact with the lone whiteboard on the right side to discover a picture of a building.

While you’re here, it’s not a bad idea to loot everything, as you may find some really great stuff in here. Keep an eye out for a weapon case that may even have a good gun you can equip to help you survive the rest of the raid.
When you’re done, it’s time to find the building pictured on the whiteboard.

Next, you’ll need to head southwest to the Abandoned Housing Project POI. Note that this is a common spawn point, so it’s always possible you’ll run into someone looting around here. Be careful.

Walk down to the building just below the words “Abandoned Housing Project” on your map to trigger the next objective: Take a photograph of the abandoned housing project.
Photograph the abandoned housing project
Approach any of the interactable spots around this unfinished building to take a photograph. This will complete the quest.

With the quest complete, you’re now able to head back to Speranza using your preferred extraction point. Blue Gate is well-known for having extraction campers, so check any buildings or nooks and crannies around the extraction point before you start it, and keep your gun out just in case anyone pops up. You’ve got this, raider.
