An e-reader is a great piece of tech if you want to consume content in a whole new way. And some even let you jot down notes, which can further expand the experience. Now, this experience isn’t for everyone, but if you have been curious about owning or using an e-reader, going with one that can do just a little bit more can be a great choice.
We tested the Kindle Scribe when it first launched and found that the overall experience was pretty good. You get a nice large surface to read and write, and jotting down notes can be extremely useful. Plus, the battery life is pretty good too. And while we didn’t love the original price, we’re happy to report that it can now be had for much less.
The discount makes it
At $280, it’s still an expensive piece of hardware, but it’s certainly better than paying $400. When it comes to the hardware, things are as good as they can be, with a 10.2-inch 300 ppi screen, and access to one of the largest book stores through Amazon.
Of course, the big draw here, versus a standard e-reader, is going to be the ability to use a pen to jot down notes. You can do this in a book, and you can also use the built-in notes app. You can also import PDFs to mark up, and even export the written work as well.
And just in case you were worried, the battery life is still very good, with up to 12 weeks of use on a single charge. And you can even listen to audiobooks using the Kindle Scribe as well. For the most part, this e-reader is going to have everything you need.
