Now that we’re getting back into the swing of normal life after the holidays, it’s time to consider upgrades for the year ahead. If you live in an area that deals with power outages from storms or you like to take off on camping adventures, you could probably benefit from a portable power station. There’s a great deal in store today at Amazon on a solid model.

As of Jan. 6, the Anker Solix F1500 portable power station is on sale for $499 at Amazon, marked down from the list price at Anker of $1,199. That’s a 59% discount that takes a whopping $700 off the normal price. This sale price matches the lowest we’ve ever seen at Amazon.

Consider what a 1,536Wh battery could do to improve life during a power outage or while camping. You’ll get over 20 hours of using a CPAP machine or almost an hour and a half of time with the coffee maker. Take it out on a road trip or while camping to recharge a phone almost 100 times or use a 40W air pump for over 20 hours.

Anker equipped the Solix F1500 with six AC ports, four USB-A ports, and two USB-C ports. Another huge benefit of the Solix F1500 is the built-in lightbar, which is always useful when camping or during a power outage. The two side handles also make carrying the power station much more manageable since it weighs about 44 pounds.
