Donkey Kong-Themed Wireless Controller With Lenticular Art Gets Massive Discount

January 10, 2026

Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 owners can save big on officially licensed wireless controllers with eye-catching lenticular or glow-in-the-dark designs. Amazon has all four editions of the Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless Controller for 25% off or better. Most notably, the Donkey Kong Edition with lenticular artwork is on sale for $41.61 (was $60). Select customers can get an extra 25% discount, which drops the price to $31.20. If you’re eligible for the bonus discount, you’ll see a coupon box below the price.

Revealed a few days after Donkey Kong Bananza launched on Switch 2, the Turtle Beach Rematch Donkey Kong Edition released last October. It’s the only official Switch 1/2 controller themed around the platforming franchise that you’ll find at major retailers today. It’s also worth noting you can buy Donkey Kong Bananza’s physical edition for its lowest price yet at Amazon and Walmart.

The Donkey Kong Edition depicts a jungle scene featuring silhouettes of DK and Diddy Kong. When you tilt the controller back and forth, the lenticular lenses bend light to make it appear as if the characters are running through the jungle. Trees and vines in various shades of green fade into the background as new elements come into view.

The controller is mostly green and black, but there are a few red accents: DK and Diddy Kong’s clothes as well as the joystick rings. The triggers, shoulder buttons, face buttons, and D-pad are a different shade of bright green. The back is solid black except for the two red back buttons.

As for the controller tech, if you’ve ever used a PDP Rematch, that’s essentially what this is. Turtle Beach acquired PDP in 2024 and has launched rebranded versions of select PDP accessories like the popular Rematch.

The Rematch syncs wirelessly to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 consoles via Bluetooth and offers up to 40 hours of playtime on a full charge. It has two built-in back buttons that can be remapped on the fly and six-axis motion controls.

With superb ergonomics, solid buttons and triggers, and a stable, low-latency wireless connection, the Rematch is a solid alternative to Nintendo’s pricier Pro Controllers. But you will miss out on a few features with the Rematch–and most officially licensed Switch controllers–including rumble and NFC support for Amiibo. It also lacks the C Button found on the Joy-Con 2, Pro Controller 2, and select third-party controllers like the PowerA Advantage Wireless Controller.

The Mario Bricks Edition of the Turtle Beach Rematch also features lenticular artwork and is discounted to $44.42 (was $60). The other two Turtle Beach Rematch Mario-themed models have glow-in-the-dark artwork and are on sale for $45 (was $60) each. Three other glow-in-the-dark wireless controllers with Mario designs and PDP branding are available for $45, too.

PowerA, another major manufacturer of officially licensed Nintendo controllers, launched a wireless Switch 2 controller with a C button for GameChat last fall. The PowerA Advantage Wireless Controller is available in Super Mario and Pokemon designs. It has Hall Effect sticks, remappable back buttons, motion controls, and the familiar Switch Pro-style form factor. The Super Mario edition is on sale for $58 (was $70), while the Pokemon edition is $65 (was $70). PowerA Advantage Wired Switch 2 Controllers are discounted to as low as $27 (was $40) for a retro Super Mario theme.
