Following the recent announcement that Ryan Hurst will play Kratos in the upcoming God of War TV series at Prime Video, another casting detail has come to light.
Deadline reports that Teresa Palmer will star on the show as Phoebe/Sif, who is Thor’s wife. The Australian actor and model is known for her work on the TV shows The Family Next Door and The Last Anniversary. She also had roles in the movies Warm Bodies and The Fall Guy.
The God of War TV show, which hails from Battlestar Galactica’s Ronald D. Moore, has already been ordered for two seasons. Frederick E.O. Toye (The Boys, Fallout) is directing the first two episodes. There is no release date yet.
Prime Video is also behind the upcoming Tomb Raider live-action TV show starring Sophie Turner.
The God of War TV show will follow some of the events of 2018’s God of War and 2022’s God of War Ragnarok, telling the father-son story of Kratos and Atreus. There is no word yet on who may play Atreus, or any of the other parts, however.
God of War is one of Sony’s best-known franchises, and while no future games have been announced, it’s expected the series will continue. A live-service God of War game, however, was reportedly canceled last year.
