YouTube TV finally offers a discount worth looking at

YouTube TV didn’t have a great 2025. The media streaming service lost popular broadcasts, experienced a few service outages due to failed contract negotiations, which created just enough space to have customers realize they no longer wanted to pay for the service anymore.

Naturally, YouTube isn’t one to just let things slip, and it started compensating for its missteps. In addition, it even tried to entice subscribers back with some healthy discounts and promotions. Of course, with some time to regroup, YouTube has decided to hit the ground running in 2026, offering new subscribers a chance to save — for at least the first couple of months.

Huge savings, but is it enough

This new promotion was spotted by the folks at 9to5Google, and the details are pretty sweet if you’re someone that’s new to YouTube TV. In addition to the 10-day trial, those that stay on will get a discounted rate for the first two months. Users will pay $59.99/month, which is $23 less than the usual retail price of the service.

When digging into the details, it looks like YouTube has an abundance of promotions running, but this one looks to have started at the top of the year, and is set to expire on March 17, 2026. The discount is available to YouTube TV subscribers that aren’t current or former members of the service. So, if you’ve never tried it, it’s worth checking out right now.

The features add up for some

Of course, once the trial and discount period is up, you’ll pay the full monthly charge, which comes out to $82.99/month. Now, depending on who you talk to, some will say that the price is worth every penny, while others will say that it’s just too expensive. Beyond just watching all your favorite shows, one of YouTube TV’s greatest strengths is its unlimited DVR feature.

Another one that folks tend to love is MultiView, which puts four screens up at once, which is perfect if you’re someone that loves to consume all the sports matches that they can. Plus, it also provides access to some exclusive content that you won’t find anywhere else, like the Oscars, which are set to begin broadcasting on YouTube TV in 2029.

While the cost can be substantial, if you’re someone that loves watching TV, this might be the service that’s right up your alley.
