What was once reserved for very niche phones mostly only seen in the crowded halls of tech shows like MWC and CES, the 10,000mAh battery is about to reach the mainstream.
Smartphone maker Realme has announced it’s going to fit a 10,001mAh battery into its upcoming P4 Power phone, and the use time from it is going to delight power users.
Fast development
Realme watchers will have already known a 10,000mAh battery was coming from the brand, after the company’s president of global marketing, Chase Xu, showed off the concept in a social media video in May 2025.
The specially made phone measured 8.5mm thick and weighed 215 grams, showing the newly developed battery didn’t add significant size or weight to the phone.
It features a 10% silicon anode, and utilizes a clever stacking system for components, maximizing the available space inside the phone. Realme also worked on safety systems to minimize the chance of battery swelling, and increased drop protection.
Long-lasting performance
Since the concept was revealed, Realme has worked to make the battery suitable for mass production, and says it has reached it in “record time.” It retains the safety architecture seen in the concept, and the final capacity is a massive 10,001mAh.
What does this mean for performance? Obviously, it’ll depend on how you use the phone, and Realme’s not giving everything away just yet, but it says the 10,001mAh Titan battery will return “week-long endurance.”
We’ll take this to mean five to seven days of use on a single charge. It sounds unlikely, but when high capacity silicon anode batteries, like the 7,300mAh cell inside the OnePlus 15, last three to four days on a single charge, it isn’t all that unrealistic.
Realme P4 Power
The 10,000mAh Titan battery will make its debut in the Realme P4 Power smartphone, which the company has already started teasing on its website.
Boasting what Realme calls a TransView design, whatever that means, the phone has an unusual design around the twin cameras on the back, and will be available in silver, blue, or orange colors.
It joins the existing Realme P4 and P4 Pro Pro, which definitely don’t look like an Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max, and Realme P4x, which definitely doesn’t look like a Samsung Galaxy S25.
The release date has not been announced yet, but launch plans will be confirmed soon, according to Realme. It will join the Honor Win, which has a 10,000mAh battery inside and was launched in China in January.
Until now, 10,000mAh batteries have been seen in phones from brands like Oukitel and Cubot, and even larger capacity batteries made phones from brands like Energizer popular at tech trade shows.
