Ryan Coogler’s Sinners has just hit an Oscars record out of the park.
The lauded genre-bending vampire film starring Michael B. Jordan has landed a whopping 16 Academy Award nominations, announced in a ceremony on Thursday morning.
Per The New York Times, Sinners beat the three previous record-holders, which held 14 nominations each: All About Eve (1950), Titanic (1997), and La La Land (2016).
Fellow nominees One Battle After Another landed 13 nods, Marty Supreme earned nine, and Hamnet got seven nominations.
So, what Oscars is Sinners up for?
Beyond the all-important Best Picture, Coogler is nominated for Best Directing and Best Writing (Original Screenplay).

Jordan is up for Best Actor in a Leading Role alongside Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent).
Still in the acting realm, Delroy Lindo and Wunmi Mosaku are nominated for Best Actor/Actress in a Supporting Role.
Production and design nominations for Sinners include Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and Best Production Design. The film is also up for Best Sound, Best Visual Effects, Best Casting, Best Cinematography, and Best Film Editing,
Plus, Ludwig Göransson is nominated for Best Music (Original Score) and Miles Caton is looking at Best Music (Original Song) “I Lied to You.”
