What you need to know

  • Marshall’s Heddon hub brings Wi-Fi based multi-room audio to existing Marshall Bluetooth speakers using Auracast.
  • The hub streams music over Wi-Fi from Spotify, AirPlay, and Google Cast, then broadcasts it to speakers via Bluetooth.
  • Heddon supports newer Marshall speakers wirelessly and older models through RCA, including vinyl turntable setups.
  • The Heddon hub costs $300 and comes discounted or free with select Marshall speaker purchases.

Marshall has just released a new hub called Heddon, and it makes setting up multi-room audio with your existing Marshall Bluetooth speakers much easier, all while running over Wi-Fi.

Marshall already makes some of the best Bluetooth speakers you can buy, and with Heddon, the company is finally tying all of them together. The new hub acts as a central device that lets you connect multiple Marshall speakers across your home and play synchronized audio through all of them.

In simple terms, Heddon acts as a central hub for all your speakers in the home. It connects to your Wi-Fi network and streams music from services like Spotify, AirPlay, and Google Cast. It then uses Auracast to broadcast that audio to compatible Marshall Bluetooth speakers around your home, keeping everything in sync.

The hub can stream audio simultaneously to newer Bluetooth speakers like the Acton III, Stanmore III, and Woburn III. It also supports select older Marshall speakers through an RCA output, letting you bring legacy hardware into the setup as well.

Marshall says Heddon also works with vinyl players. By connecting a turntable, the hub “bridges analog and digital listening,” allowing you to play vinyl records across multiple speakers while keeping that classic warmth intact.

The device itself is compact, roughly the size of an Apple TV, and features Marshall’s signature premium design with a Tolex-style finish and the iconic logo. Setup and speaker management are handled through the Marshall app, where you can choose which speakers to stream audio to.

The Marshall Heddon hub is now available for purchase starting at $300 in the U.S. Marshall is also offering the hub at a 50% discount when you buy an Acton III, Stanmore III, or Woburn III, and it is included for free when you purchase two or more eligible Marshall home speakers.
