Galaxy S26 Ultra colors just leaked, and Samsung’s playing it safe again

What you need to know

  • Leak reveals six Galaxy S26 Ultra colors, mostly familiar, with cobalt violet and pink gold as the only new additions.
  • Samsung appears to be playing it safe again with muted flagship colors, skipping bold options like iPhone 17 Pro orange.
  • Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to launch on February 25, 2026, with a bigger battery, faster 60W wired charging, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

It looks like Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S26 series is just a few weeks away, and with every new leak, we’re getting a clearer picture of what is coming. A new leak has now revealed the color options for the top-of-the-line Galaxy S26 Ultra, and no, it is not getting the iPhone 17 Pro’s orange shade.

Reliable leaker Evan Blass shared on X that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be available in a total of six colors: black, white, silver shadow, sky blue, cobalt violet, and pink gold.

If these sound familiar, that is because they mostly are. Samsung already offers black, white, silver, and blue shades on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, so there are no major surprises there. The two new additions this time appear to be cobalt violet and pink gold, which might be Samsung’s online-exclusive colors.

Adding to this, another leaker, @UniverseIce on X, shared images of SIM card trays in these colors, giving us an early look at how the finishes might appear. The blue, silver, and black options look fairly tame, while the purple shade stands out as the most interesting of the bunch.

The presence of a SIM tray also suggests that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will ship with a physical SIM card, unlike the Pixel 10 series and the iPhone 17 lineup. That said, there is still a chance Samsung could offer eSIM-only models in some regions like the U.S., though there are no concrete rumors around that yet.

Samsung has traditionally played it safe with flagship colors, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra seems to be following the same approach. While it would have been nice to see something more adventurous, like the iPhone 17 Pro’s Cosmic Orange, Samsung appears to be sticking to familiar territory once again.

That said, the cobalt violet shade does look intriguing, and it’ll be interesting to see how it looks in real life.
