Upgrading your TV starts by selecting the right size. If you’re unsure which option to go with, we find that 65 inches is typically the sweet spot for most folks. Next up, choose a brand. There are tons of options, but we’re big fans of LG for its range of sizes and prices and its superior picture quality. If you need a little nudge in the right direction, we recommend checking out the LG 65-inch QNED85A TV, which is on sale for over $400 off this weekend.

As of Jan. 30, the LG 65-inch QNED85A Mini LED 4K TV is down to just $796.99 at both Amazon and Best Buy. That’s about 34% off its original list price of $1,199.99 (Amazon actually cuts the savings short with its discounted list price).

A CES 2025 debut, the LG 85A is a mid-range Mini LED TV that delivers a heavy dose of AI to enhance picture and audio. It features an Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen2, which can find the perfect HDR and brightness settings for whatever you’re watching, while boosting dialogue over background noise and refining your sound to suit your style. The included AI Magic Remote also offers content recommendations and viewing choices, a generative AI gallery to transform your TV into art, and picture and audio customization options.

Gamers will appreciate the 120Hz native refresh rate and VRR 144Hz refresh rate, as well as AMD FreeSync Premium, and LG Game Optimizer. Meanwhile, cinephiles will love that Filmmaker Mode automatically preserves the director’s original colors, settings, and frame rates for the ultimate cinematic experience.
