Jimmy Kimmel is fed up with everything having to be an issue of right vs left.
Speaking about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show, and Donald Trump and the right’s reaction to the show, Kimmel mainly seems to be exasperated in the clip above.
“The MAGA-verse was so hoppin’ mad about Bad Bunny. It really is amazing how differently people can see the same thing,” the host says. “Half of us saw a heartwarming story of immigrants who had dreams to come to America, work hard, get married, grow up, raises families, sing, dance, play backgammon — the other half, it was like the movie 28 Days Later. It was a terrifying attack on humanity led by Jessica Alba.”
Kimmel goes on to talk about the alternative halftime show headlined by Kid Rock.
“I’m not jumping on the bash Kid Rock bandwagon,” he says. “I don’t like what he says either, but he’s talented, I’ve seen him perform, he puts on a fun show. I don’t want to get into that. This is not Kid Rock vs. Bad Bunny. I mean think about how dumb that sounds. This is not that. You could like one of them, you could like the other, you could like neither, you could like both. This is about the fact that everything has to be something. That we have to take a side on everything.”
Elsewhere, Jon Stewart also responded to MAGA’s reaction to Bad Bunny.
