The Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 514 features a 14-inch touchscreen display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 180-degree rotating hinge that lets you use the computer in an upright configuration, and a battery life of up to 17 hours, according to Acer.
Performance is backed by a pleasantly impressive MediaTek Kompanio Ultra CPU and 12GB of RAM, while it also features 256GB of storage and decent connectivity options. These include two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports, and a headphone and microphone jack.
The Chromebook also includes a backlight keyboard, and the intuitive Chrome OS, as well as some of the latest Gemini AI tools from Google. The company also says it’s built with military-grade durability, aluminum top and rear covers, and sturdy hinges for upright use.
To be sure, it includes an LCD display which doesn’t offer quite the same vivid experience as premium-level AMOLED displays, but if that isn’t a dealbreaker for you, everything else about this laptop should make it seem pretty appealing at this price point.
