NYT Strands today (game #719) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #719, are…
- HARSH
- COARSE
- ROUGH
- SCRATCHY
- PRICKLY
- ABRASIVE
- SPANGRAM: SANDPAPER
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 1 hint
Stupidly, I thought today’s theme was to do with western movies. Demonstrating how off-course I was, I found sand and paper as non-game words, not thinking for a second to put them together.
Thankfully, a hint sent me in the right direction and I was able to find the many words describing an uneven surface.
If this collection of words — not all of which could be applied to SANDPAPER — made you feel uncomfortable you are not alone and might suffer from trypophobia, the fear of rough, bumpy, or hole-filled surfaces. I’ll be using that excuse next time I need to do some sandpapering.
