We hope you didn’t have any major plans for March, because the month ahead is loaded with new games to try out. After a relatively subdued January and February, it feels like the 2026 gaming year is finally kicking off, as the next couple of weeks will see the release of high-profile games, interesting indies, and a whole lot more spread across the next 31 days. The month starts with a bang thanks to World of Warcraft’s Midnight expansion and Bungie’s extraction shooter Marathon, with the action shifting to a remake of the cult-classic horror game Fatal Frame 2, zombie-slaying on a grand scale in John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, and a chance to main event Wrestlemania in WWE 2K26.
Toward the end of the month, there’s even more to look forward to, with Crimson Desert and Legacy of Kain: Ascendance aiming to monopolize all of your free time. We’ve rounded up everything you can look forward to in the March games release calendar, and for a broader look at what’s still to come, you can also check out GameSpot’s 2026 upcoming games calendar.
