TL;DR
- Luna is now rolling out Luna Voice to its smart ring lineup.
- The feature lets users log habits and ask questions about their metrics using voice commands rather than taps.
- On iOS, the feature can be used via Siri. Android users can utilize voice interactions inside the app.
Anyone with a wearable knows manual data entry is tedious and, frankly, often abandoned. Luna is aiming to make that step easier. Today, the smart ring competitor introduced Luna Voice, a new assistant-based feature that lets users log habits and check health data by speaking instead of tapping through the app. Wearables are getting more conversational, but actually logging daily habits by voice is still fairly rare.

In practice, Luna Voice makes data entry more convenient. Users can record details like what they ate, how much caffeine they had, whether they worked out, or how they feel, and the information will be integrated alongside biometric data recorded by the ring’s sensors. On iOS, users can trigger Luna Voice through Siri with phrases like “Hey Siri, Track with Luna” to log an activity or “Talk to Luna” to start a conversation. Luna Voice supports questions about sleep, recovery, stress, and performance.
To be clear, the ring itself doesn’t include a microphone. Voice interaction is handled through the companion app and phone assistants. Voice interaction is available on both iOS and Android through the app, though hands-free logging from the lock screen currently relies on Siri integration, making that specific workflow iOS-only.
This isn’t new hardware but a software update rolling out across the current lineup, including the latest model, the Luna Ring 2, which is available starting at $329. We tested the Luna Ring 2 and found it easy to like. The titanium ring is comfortable and distinctive, backed by an approachable app that covers a wide range of wellness data without charging a subscription fee.
Reducing friction is one of the clearest ways wearable companies can improve the experience without adding new sensors. Luna Voice doesn’t change what the ring currently tracks. Instead, it aims to streamline how users can interact with their data.
