Pokemon Pokopia is all about building cozy habitats, but Pokemon require certain environmental needs to be met. You need to learn all the types of habitats in order to discover a wide variety of Pokemon so you can eventually catch them all. In this guide, we highlight each habitat type and how to build them.
A Pokemon habitat is an arrangement of plants, furniture, and other items in a specific combination. These range from the classic tall grass habitats to more complex formulas involving lighting, toys, and water. The more habitats you build, the more Pokemon you’ll meet. Some habitat types cater to several Pokemon, while others only have one or two Pokemon options.

Tall Grass Habitat
How to create: Requires a patch of four tall grass.

Tree-Shaded Tall Grass Habitat
How to create: Requires four tall grass around any large tree.

Boulder-Shaded Tall Grass Habitat
How to create: Requires a patch of four tall grass around a large boulder.

Hydrated Tall Grass Habitat
How to create: Requires four tall grass beside two water tiles.

How to create: Requires a plot of eight veggies planted and watered. This can be any veggie crop.

Riding Warm Updrafts Habitat
How to create: Requires three campfires placed in a row. Then, have Charmander light them.
You must also build this habitat in order to use Drifloon to go to Dream Islands.

Exercise Resting Spot Habitat
How to create: Requires one punching bag and one bench.

This habitat is part of the Withered Wastelands questline.
How to create: Requires one plated food and two Castform Weather Charms. You can make additional Rain Dance Site habitats to create rainy weather. The Castform Weather Charms need to be mounted on a wall or surface.
