If you haven’t noticed, Samsung’s making a huge push right now in order to promote the upcoming retail release of the Galaxy S26, along with new Galaxy Buds 4 earbuds. And for the most part, this campaign is working, pushing preorders to record levels.
Of course, having good preorder perks helps, along with trade-in bonuses and impressive carrier promotions. With that said, it looks like Samsung is also looking to promote its own Galaxy Store. Now, this isn’t about hardware, and is instead Samsung’s own app store on Android.
It’s time to take notice
Whenever Samsung debuts a new flagship device, it gets a ton of press surrounding the release. Which is why it makes perfect sense for the brand to use the same momentum to put eyes on some of its other products.
Although the Samsung Galaxy Store for Android has been around for nearly two decades, we don’t think it’s everyone’s first stop when it comes to acquiring essential apps and services. Most people probably go straight to the Google Play Store.
So, Samsung is aiming to take control, offering users new reasons to head into the Galaxy Store. Android Authority reports that Samsung is going to make this happen by introducing a new Benefits tab in the app. The new section will offer rewards and daily tasks to complete.
Using the rewards, users will be able to claim coupons for the Galaxy Store and also digital gift cards. As you can imagine, completing some simple tasks and saving up for something you want is an alluring proposition, which in this scenario is the whole point.
In addition to the above, there will be sweepstakes with giveaways. For the most part, not a bad way to get current and new customers to check out the Galaxy Store. For the time being, the new Benefits tab will only be available to those in the US.
And if you’re itching for a new phone, we recommend checking out all the great promotions surrounding the Galaxy S26. Right now is going to be the best time to pick one up. Retailers and wireless carriers offer some of the best promotions during the preorder period.
