When the Razr Ultra 2025 launched last spring, it was a whopping $1,300, which would make my wallet cry in this economy. However, we’ve seen several discounts over the past year, and during the Amazon Big Spring Sale, the Razr Ultra 2025 is nearly 40% off, making it cheaper than many modern flagships.
With a 38% discount off the original retail price, the Razr Ultra 2025 is now available for just $799, which is a whole $500 discount and includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. For perspective, the new base Galaxy S26 model costs $799 but offers only 12GB of RAM, half the storage, a smaller battery, slower charging, and a lower-resolution display. Sounds pretty worth it, to me!
✅Recommended if: You want a unique and nostalgic flagship flip phone with incredible performance, fast charging, and is made with alternative materials like vegan leather and wood.
❌Skip this deal if: You want to hold off for the Razr 2026, which may launch sometime in April.
I’ve reviewed many smartphones over the past year, but the Razr Ultra 2025 is the one I always go back to. I absolutely love this phone, and while it’s not perfect, I feel like it gets close to what I would consider the perfect flip phone.
The design, while quite thick when folded, is fantastic, thanks in part to the colors and alternative materials on the back. Instead of glass, Motorola uses vegan leather, wood, and even Alcantara, giving the phone not just a unique look but a unique feel as well, while essentially keeping it more protected than if it were using glass (no scratches or cracks!).
Thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and 16GB of RAM, the Razr Ultra 2025 is quite powerful, easily handling some of the most demanding games. There are also tons of fun AI features, with Gemini built in for things like Circle to Search, and Moto AI, which gives you access to models like CoPilot and Perplexity. And while the main display is great, the 4-inch cover screen is my favorite way to use this phone. You can use nearly any app while the phone is closed, which is my default way to use it.
Moreover, that cover screen unlocks plenty of camera tricks, and you can use it as a viewfinder when you’re taking selfies or photos of others, which is actually quite useful. And if you like to make vertical videos, prop the phone on a table at a 90-degree angle and use the camera hands-free to capture your TikTok video.
