Apple’s new MacBook Pros are up to $200 off during Amazon’s spring sale

March 31, 2026

Mashable’s Shopping team has been combing through Amazon’s Big Spring Sale ever since it started on March 25. With less than 48 hours left to shop, most of the best deals we’ve spotted are holding steady (if they’re still in stock) — with several big exceptions. A bunch of Apple’s brand-new MacBook Pros were $50 off originally, but as of March 30, they’re up to $200 off. Sometimes it pays to procrastinate.

These MacBook Pros are powered by the all-new M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, Apple’s latest and highest-end silicon. They start with 24GB of RAM and 1TB or 2TB of storage, respectively. Compared to the base M5 MacBook Pro, they have newer wireless connectivity standards (WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6) as well as faster Thunderbolt 5 ports. They’re best for creative professionals with super heavy workloads, not casual everyday users.

The biggest price cuts are going to 16-inch M5 Max models with 2TB of storage and either 36GB or 48GB of RAM. At $199.01 off, they’re now $3,699.99 and $4,199.99 apiece. If you can’t spend that much (or you don’t need specs that nice), the M5 Pro-fueled MacBook Pro starts at just $2,049.99 — a $149.01 savings. Again, they were only $50 off last week.

All of these MacBook Pros are enjoying their biggest discounts since launch, and they apply to both of their color options: silver and space black. Costco was price-matching them at the time of writing (with free standard shipping and no membership required), but they were still only $50 off at B&H Photo the last time I checked. They’re stuck at full price at Best Buy.
