The Weighter is about as straightforward as it gets; it is a weighted block that ensures your cables stay put without sliding off the edge of your desk. That’s it. It doesn’t come with any additional features, nor does it have any AI — this is just a block of metal and silicone that’s designed to solve a very specific problem.
And I like it a lot. The 3-cable Weighter costs $29 on Amazon and Native Union’s website, and it’s available in black and sandstone. There’s also a single-cable variant that costs $19 if you don’t need the bigger model.

Now, you can get any cable management solution on Amazon, and it won’t even cost a quarter as much as the Weighter. My biggest issue with these products is that they’re adhesive-based, and I didn’t like the idea of having to glue something to the nightstand. I used Sugru’s moldable glue in the past as well as Ikea’s delightful cable weights, but we moved last year, and while the nightstand made it to the new house intact, the glue did not. And as for the Ikea weights, I have no idea where to even start looking for those.

Anyway, the Weighter is basically a weighted base that holds your cables, and it looks elegant. At 172g, it is heavy enough to not slide around, with a top half made out of metal and a bottom silicone base with cutouts to accommodate cables. It is an overengineered solution to a problem, but I like the way it looks, and it does what it says on the box.

My only issue is the overt Native Union branding and the Paris moniker underneath, but that didn’t preclude me from using the Weighter. I used the single-cable version of the Weighter on my desk, and the 3-cable one on my nightstand and dedicated charging station in my office. In three months of use, I didn’t have to deal with cables dangling off the edge of my desk or the side table where I have the UGREEN Nexode 500W charging station. It works just as well with USB-C cables, barrel plugs, and MagSafe connectors.
Most importantly, I didn’t have to dig around for a cable in the middle of the night because the Galaxy S26 Ultra decided to run out of charge, and for that, I’m thankful the Weighter exists. Yes, there are dozens of other alternatives available, and most of those cost a fraction of what you pay for the Weighter. I’m not saying you should buy it, but if you want an elegant solution to manage cables, it is one of the better-looking choices out there.
