Version 7.0 templates are divided into different design families and come with pre-built features that you cannot change. Version 7.1 templates are all considered to be in the same family and offer more capabilities to choose from a variety of pre-built design elements that give the designer more control. If you select a Version 7.1 template, you will not be able to switch between layouts.
