SAVE $300: As of Nov. 24, one of DJI’s newest drones is on sale for $999. That’s $300, or 23%, off its normal price of $1,299 for Black Friday. Combine VR entertainment and filmography.

“If you’re a bird, I’m a bird.” Regardless of Rachel McAdams’s bird-hood, you can now be a bird with DJI’s First-Person View drone, an innovative hybrid drone that combines the speed, maneuverability, and virtual reality experience of the best racing drones with the first-class camera quality DJI is renowned for.

The FPV incorporates DJI’s proprietary OcuSync technology (O3), a system of transmission that allows for two controllers and multiple goggles to be connected to one drone, so you can share in the VR experience. For true immersion, it takes real-time 4k/60fps video from a super-wide 150-degree lens with stabilization tech at up to 6.2 miles away — the view will be crystal clear, as if you were soaring through the sky yourself.

Plus, the drone comes with all of DJI’s typical safety features: an auxiliary bottom light for less-than-ideal lighting environments, a “Return to Home” feature that marks take-off location to come back to, automatic RTH at low battery, emergency brake-and-hover, and forward/downwards obstacle sensing. For a drone that reaches up to 87.24mph — for context, that’s faster than some cars — this last feature comes in handy.

Not only is its speed is enough to keep up with any action shot, the new DJI Motion Controller (available in a package from Amazon, also $300 off), consisting of a one-handed, intuitive stick controller, makes it easier than ever to pull off fancy maneuvers in the sky. You can also use the standard DJI remote for extra control.
