Save $70: Develop your green thumb with the AeroGarden Harvest, which is on sale for $79.99 (47% off) at Amazon for Dec. 16 only.

Anyone who has ever bought any sort of herb has watched it go bad in a record-defying amount of time. While I have no data to support this, I’m positive that every day, people are going into their fridges to take out that basil or parsley or cilantro they bought the day prior — maybe even earlier that afternoon — and finding that miraculously, impossibly, it has already become limp and inedible.

A surefire way to avoid this phenomenon is to grow your own herbs. Thanks to technology, you no longer need to have nice weather, the outdoor space, or even anything resembling a green thumb to actually be successful in this task. AeroGarden’s mini indoor gardens allow you to grow your fave herbs and produce inside year-round with just water, plant food, and a few helpful reminders.

As of Dec. 16, one of these gardens, the AeroGarden Harvest, is discounted at Amazon as a deal of the day. Even better, it’s expected to arrive before Christmas.

At 10.5″ wide and 17.4″ tall (that’s including the light), the AeroGarden Harvest isn’t likely to take up a ton of space in your kitchen. But with enough space to grow six different plants, it is likely to take up some space in your herb- and veggie-loving heart.

AeroGardens use a hydroponic system, which is fancy way of saying they don’t require soil, only water and liquid plant food, saving you from some mess. The Harvest is no different. With its grow light, plants can reach up to 12″, which is made extra easy by the simple three button control panel that lights up when you need to add water or plant food. So yes, you can have it all, and by “all” we mean a freshly grown salad in the dead of winter.
