I’m glad they are “happy” with their sales on Steam. My only questions for this article…
How does selling well on Steam correlate to game pass? Do Steam players pay for game pass on PC to buy games on Steam?
Does Stadia have game pass? Do Stadia gamers use game pass to stream or buy Stadia games?
I believe the game is on Mac. Does Mac have game pass? Do Mac players use game pass on PC or Xbox to try the game before buying on Mac?
The game is on PS4 and PS5. Did PlayStation gamers pay $10-$15 a month to demo Farming Simulator 22 on Xbox game pass, just to buy it on PlayStation?
Could we not only get numbers from Steam, but a breakdown in how many copies were sold across systems? Like, how many copies sold on Xbox? Being that game pass is on the platform and you can try it, did it sell just as well as on Steam? More or less? Where was the most sales from?
Sure. You can technically reach more players if you have enough subscribers that might try any game on the service if they are paying. But, did that translate to more Farming Simulator sales on Xbox compared to previous entries on Xbox? Or is that lump sum check or monthly checks from Microsoft making it easier to mislead?
Or was it that making a good game, releasing it across multiple platforms, broadened your reach?
