Alex Moffatt’s douche-y “guy who just bought a boat” returned to the latest Saturday Night Live update, but with a big twist: Actual cast members Pete Davidson and Weekend Update co-host Colin Jost were just this week revealed to have purchased a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry boat together. (They want to turn it into a permanently docked performance venue.)
So obviously, when Moffat’s superbro shows up, we know it’s only a matter of time before attention turns to the actual new boat owners in the cast. Sure enough, Davidson pops out a short time later and the boat talk escalates. Things are going fine until the last minute or so of the sketch, when Moffatt’s lewd humor and constant stream of dick jokes finally overwhelms Davidson and Jost.
It’s a classic SNL break moment, and truly, we love to see it.
