Widgets have been available on Android for years now, dating back to Android 1.5 Cupcake. They can be very handy too, giving you quick access to your calendar view, music player, weather info, and more.

Widgets are clearly a tentpole feature on Android then, but we want to know how many you’ve got on your phone’s home screens. You can vote in the poll below and elaborate on the widgets you use via the comments section. Just to be clear, we’re asking how many you’ve got across all of your device’s home screens (not just on one screen).

Many phones come with widgets already placed on the home screen, such as Google and a weather widget. But Android gives you plenty of freedom, allowing you to remove these widgets or resize them. So you could have a dozen widgets if you so wish, or none at all.

Me? I’ve got three widgets across my phone’s home screens, namely Google Search, the default weather widget, and the Ecosia search widget. On the other end of the spectrum, fellow AA writer Andy Walker has 11 widgets in total.
