HBO Max is continuing its Europe rollout, planning to launch in 15 more countries on March 8.

The streaming service initially launched its European presence in October 2021, arriving in Spain, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Andorra, and Finland. This March, Central and Eastern Europe will be covered: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

In some of these regions, HBO has already marked its name, with HBO Portugal and HBO Go launched in Central and European Europe.

Another six European countries will be added later this year, including Turkey, Iceland, Greece and countries in the Baltic: Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. HBO Max will not arrive in the UK, Germany, and Italy for a few years, due to a deal with Sky — until then, NOW TV is your best bet for streaming HBO shows in the UK.

Users flocking to the site during its launch offer will receive 33 percent off regular pricing for life, according to Johannes Larcher, head of HBO Max International, as Reuters reports. This reduced price was not offered in the first wave of European countries.

HBO Max and cable channel HBO ended 2021 on a high note, reporting a total of 73.8 million global subscribers, shooting past a year-end prediction of 73 million.
