When you think of Stephen King, you think of horror, and of children with extraordinary abilities.
In Firestarter, Blumhouse Productions’ remake of the 1984 film based on King’s novel, Charlie (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) has the destructive ability to create fire. Her parents Andy (Zac Efron) and Vicky (Sydney Lemmon) have attempted to hide her abilities from those who would seek to weaponize her power. However, Charlie’s fire is growing harder to control, and she’s tired of hiding.
Firestarter is in theaters and streaming on Peacock May 13.
