Hot off the heels of some major game launches, Sony shared a State of Play on March 15, 2022. This presentation ran for around 20 minutes, and we’ve rounded up all the announcements in one convenient location.
Exoprimal
Exoprimal is a new IP from Capcom. Warriors in mech suits fight dinosaurs that fall from the sky. It’s currently slated to arrive on PlayStation consoles in 2023.
Ghostwire: Tokyo
Early into the presentation, we also got another look at Ghostwire: Tokyo, an upcoming timed PS5 console exclusive being developed by Tango Gameworks. It’s slated to launch on March 22, 2022.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin demo
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is getting a new demo that’s launching later today.
Forspoken
We quickly got to see some new gameplay for Forspoken, which Square Enix confirmed has been delayed to October 2022.
Gundam Evolution
Gundam Evolution is an upcoming 6v6 shooter. It’s coming to PS4 and PS5, with a network test slated for later this spring.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection
Cowabunga! There’s a collection of TMNT games on the way.
Gigabash
Kaiju destruction is the name of the game in Gigabash, which is coming to PlayStation consoles later in the year.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is a new fighting game that’s set to arrive on PS5 and PS4 later in 2022.
Trek To Yomi
Trek To Yomi is a black-and-white side-scrolling game from Devolver Digital. Players take on the role of a samurai, slashing through bandits and otherwordly foes on their journey.
Returnal: Ascension
Housemarque’s 2021 roguelike Returnal is getting a free update called Ascension that adds a survival mode and two-player campaign co-op.
The Diofield Chronicle
Square Enix is working on a new strategy game called The Diofield Chronicle, which is also scheduled to launch later in 2022.
Valkyrie Elysium
Closing out the show, Square Enix revealed a new Valkyrie game is on the way, titled Valkyrie Elysium. It’s scheduled to hit PlayStation consoles later in the year.
