Halo Infinite PC Patch Out Now, Fixes Crash And Adds New LAN Feature

March 15, 2022

A new patch is out now for Halo Infinite that makes some small but important changes for the PC edition of the sci-fi shooter. The March 14 update for Halo Infinite specifically improves stability in the PC version by resolving a “common crash.” The patch notes do not mention the specifics of the crash scenario.

Outside of a fix for that crashing problem, the March 14 update allows players to start Local Area Network (LAN) services from the in-game menus. This is a very small patch, weighing in at about 600 MB or less.

Players need to close and relaunch Halo Infinite to install the patch.

In other Halo Infinite news, developer 343 just recently announced that the long-awaited campaign co-op feature has been delayed further into the future. Season 2: Lone Wolves is coming in May, and campaign co-op will be released sometime during that season, but not at launch.

The Halo TV series, meanwhile, comes to Parmaount+ on March 24. It will show Master Chief’s face, which we suspect will look a lot like Pablo Schreiber’s face. Microsoft and Paramount are apparently confident in the show’s prospects, as Season 2 has already been announced.

Halo Infinite March 14 Patch Notes

  • Improved PC stability by resolving a common crash.
  • Local Area Network (LAN) servers can now be started from the in-game menus.

Download size

  • Update only (all platforms): approximately 600 MB or less.
