Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication.

TL;DR: This refurbished iPad Mini is on sale for just $289.99 as of March 31, which means it’s 60% off its oroginal price of $729.

If you’re in the market for an iPad, there’s no need to pay full price. The best way to score an iPad for under $300 outside of Black Friday is by buying refurbished.

This 2015 iPad Mini — with WiFi and 4G unlocked, 128 GB of storage, and a bundle of accessories — for instance, is on sale for only $289.99. That’s a pretty incredible price considering it originally sold for $729.

Sure, the iPad Mini 4 isn’t the latest and greatest machine available (it’s technically obsolete). There have been two models released since the 2015 installation — one of which completely redesigned the look and feel of the iPad Mini. But if you don’t care about all the latest bells and whistles, the fourth generation model still packs enough power to be worth buying in 2022.

The iPad Mini 4 is essentially a smaller version of the iPad Air 2, with a 7.9-inch Retina display, 0.24-inch thickness, and weighing in at just 0.65 pounds. If you’re looking for a tablet to work double-duty as a laptop replacement, this isn’t the right model for you. If you’re looking for a tablet for content consumption and on-the-go multitasking, the Mini 4 is suitable.

This refurbished model comes in space gray or silver and is unlocked for you to go online using a SIM from your cell phone provider. However, you can also just use it in WiFi-only mode if you don’t want to go through that whole process. You’ll also get 128 GB of storage space, which is pretty decent for a tablet, and actually the highest amount the Mini 4 offered.

It comes with a pre-installed tempered glass screen protector, a snap-on black plastic case, a UL-certified wall charger, Lightning cable, and its original Apple box as well — all for just $289.99 (space gray or silver), a 60% discount from its original cost.

If you’re looking for more discounted tech, these Tech Mystery Boxes are currently on sale as part of an April Fools’ Day promotion. You’ll get three mystery tech gadgets, valued around $70, for only $59.99.
