Save $70 on the 256GB model on Amazon

SAVE $70: Typically $749, Amazon has the 2022 Apple iPad Air (WiFi, 256GB) on sale for just $679 as of April 6. That’s a 9% discount and its lowest price to date.

Walmart was wild for slapping a $70 discount on the new 256GB iPad Air when it went up for preorder last month — we usually don’t see deals that good until an Apple product has spent a few months on the market. (And even then, they’re never guaranteed).

That being said, no worries if you missed it: Amazon, apparently feeling left out, just revived that same deal on its own website.

As of April 6, the space gray 2022 iPad Air with that upgraded storage was on sale there for only $679. (It’s currently sold out at Walmart, FWIW.) Tim Cook originally priced it at $749, so this is saving you about 9%.

Apple iPad Air (2022) review: Sweet spot

Released just last month, this iPad just so happens to be your newest Mashable’s Choice Award-winner. Mashable senior editor Stan Schroeder called it “the sweet spot of Apple’s tablets,” praising its zippy M1 chip, the large, 10.9-inch display that’s great for streaming and playing games, and its really nice selfie camera. (You can read his review here.) It basically offers “[all] the key features of the iPad Pro, for less money,” he wrote.

Schroeder’s only gripe was that the entry-level model only packs 64GB of storage, but obviously that’s not an issue with the version Amazon has on sale. All things considered, it’s an “elegant, powerful, and versatile” tablet and the iPad that’ll work best for most people.
