SAVE $61: The earbuds that put AirPods to shame — a.k.a. the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 — are on sale for $89 at Walmart as of May 2. That’s about 40% in savings on an excellent pair of wireless earbuds.
The AirPods 3 were one of Apple’s more disappointing launches of 2021, with lackluster features, no noise cancellation, and a high price ($179.99). Before spending your hard-earned cash on something that won’t wow you, consider grabbing a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 instead. According to Mashable’s Alex Perry, they “put AirPods to shame” at a price you can afford.
Walmart has the Galaxy Buds 2 on sale for only $89 as of May 2 in white, olive, and lavender. That’s $61 in savings and the lowest price we’ve seen (about $20 less than last Black Friday). The graphite option is down to $99.99, which is a great deal as well.
Between the attractive egg-shaped design, better noise cancellation than the Galaxy Buds Pro or Buds Live, impressive comfort, and relatively robust app-based customization (for Android devices), there’s a lot to love about the Buds 2 besides their price. Even iPhone users can enjoy the buds, though they won’t get the ability to alter the sound settings within the Android-only app.
While the sound and battery life probably won’t blow you away, the rest of the features more than make up for those minor caveats. As Perry mentioned in his review: “What they lack in elite audio output, they more than make up for in comfort, looks, and terrific ANC.”
At $150, the Galaxy Buds 2 are well worth the cost. At only $89, they’re practically a steal.
