He’s showing off some of the cool automobilia he’s uncovered while trying to clean out and organize the space, tells us about his land-speed racing career, and even gets into a little bit of tech.
It may not look like it, but Freiburger has been working on cleaning out his garage for three weeks! This is the first time in over a decade he’s even been able to walk into it! For those who don’t know, David Freiburger was the longest-tenured EIC at HOT ROD in its 72 year history. He held the position for 12 years and in that time created cool events like HOT ROD Drag Week, came up with the juggernaut that is Roadkill, and has lived the wildest dreams of many a gearhead.
From original Chip Foose renderings to super-trick high-tech small-block heads, even a billet-aluminum flip flop, there is a mountain of cool stuff hidden in David Freiburger’s garage. Only one man knows everything that lies in wait to be discovered, but this is your chance to catch a glimpse of a living legend in its natural habitat.
