So far, OnePlus has launched two phones in its 10-series: the 10 Pro and the 10R. Interestingly, the vanilla model hasn’t materialized, but rumors suggest it might launch at some point in the second half of this year.
Today, via OnSiteGo, we have some leaked renders of what could be the OnePlus 10. However, there are a few things to note about these renders. First, they are not based on CAD files as we usually see from leakers like Steve Hemmerstoffer. Instead, they are based on “early prototype units” as viewed by leaker Yogesh Brar. Brar has a pretty solid track record for leaks so far, but the accuracy of these renders is certainly not a given.
Also, it is not clear if these renders really depict the vanilla 10 model. It’s possible OnePlus could launch this with a different name, with the OnePlus 10T being a contender. Basically, take these renders with a massive grain of salt.
Alleged OnePlus 10 renders
Despite the shakiness of this leak, these renders do appear to make sense. The back of the phone looks a lot like that of the OnePlus 10 Pro, so the DNA is there. The camera module, however, appears to be significantly larger.
The front of the phone seems to be much the same with a centered display cutout. However, the sides of the phone are quite mysterious. The volume buttons are on the left, as usual, and the power button is on the right, also like normal. But where’s the alert slider? If these renders are accurate, this would be the first flagship-level phone from the company to drop one of its most famous hallmarks.
Time will tell if these renders prove genuine. We’ll need to wait and see what OnePlus has in mind for the 10-series, which is fast becoming its most confusing mainline portfolio ever.
