TL;DR

  • Google launched Android 13 beta 3.2 today.
  • This new update fixes some bugs of the prior two beta releases this month.
  • One of the bugs was a problem with the back gesture not working correctly, so this is nice to see.

Google has already launched two new betas for Android 13 this month. First was the beta 3 launch which introduced Platform Stability to the operating system. Then came a quick beta 3.1 launch that fixed one problem: the Feedback app was missing for some installations.

Today, Google is launching Android 13 beta 3.2. This time, the release focuses on fixing several annoying bugs that have been present since the launch of beta 3.

Check out the fixes here, per Google’s announcement:

  • Fixed an issue where the back gesture wasn’t working in some apps.
  • Fixed an issue where the At a glance settings page would collapse inconsistently when scrolling.
  • Fixed an issue where some apps would crash instantly on opening.
  • Fixed an issue where the microphone would turn on and off unexpectedly during unrelated use of the device.
  • Fixed an issue where the Google Photos app would crash frequently.

Other than these specific issues, the new beta addresses various stability issues.

If you’re already on one of the Android 13 beta releases, you should get this update automatically. If you want to join the beta program, we have instructions on how to get it installed on your Pixel device. Just know that you’ll need a recent Pixel for the install to work, specifically a Pixel 4 or later model.
