SAVE $170: The Beats Studio3s(opens in a new tab) are on sale on Amazon for only $179.95 as of June 22. That’s 49% off their $349.95 MSRP.

Tired: Buying a pair of AirPods Max just for the fancy Apple name. Wired: Buying a pair of Beats Studio3s(opens in a new tab) because they’re on sale for almost half off. (Well, they’re wireless, but you get it.)

As of June 22, Amazon had the latter wireless noice-canceling headphones on sale for only $179.95. That’s $170 off their suggested retail price of $349.95, a 49% discount, and just $10 away from the record-low price they hit during last year’s Black Friday shopping season.

Amazon’s early Prime Day deals have arrived. Here’s what you need to know.

The Studio3s can’t compete with the $550 AirPods Max in terms of premium sound quality and connectivity — they’re a little older, so they’re missing the spacial audio support and have a W1 chip instead of the H1. (The W1 also powered the original AirPods, for comparison’s sake.) But you’d be remiss in thinking these are just a meh pair of headphones: They pack impressive adaptive noise cancellation technology with real-time audio calibration to maintain clarity, multifunction on-ear controls, a built-in mic, and a Fast Fuel charging feature that gets you 3 hours of play with just 10 minutes of juice.

Speaking of: The Studio3s actually have the AirPods Max beat in one category, which is battery life. The former will last you up to 22 hours per charge verses their Apple rivals’ 20 hours.

If you’re looking for an ideal combination of price and performance, it’s ultimately tough to beat the Beats.
