The first Clerks movie hit theaters in 1994. 12 years later, Clerks 2 arrived in 2006. Now, 16 years after that, we’re going back to Quick Stop. Clerks 3 arrives in the fall and the first trailer for the film, which is definitely a semi-autobiographical look at Smith’s life since having a heart attack, is here.
The trailer for Clerks 3 is filled with pretty much everything you’d expect, familiar faces, dirty jokes, Star Wars references, and of course a love/hate relationship with Quick Stop for Randall and Dante, once again played by Jeff Anderson and Brian O’Halloran. It’s also filled with tons of Easter eggs, surprising moments, and meta references to Smith’s own work as a filmmaker, as Randall attempts to create his first movie.
