Audi TT, Thought to Be Dead for 2021, Lives One More Year

The 2021 TT and TTS won’t simply exist—both will come with a load of new standard equipment. Audi’s excellent S sport seats in Nappa leather, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, navigation, and few other detail changes to the MMI—like Audi Connect—will be standard on all TT and TTS models for 2021. The standard TT will come with 18-inch wheels with all-seasons, while 19s wrapped in summer tires are optional. The TTS, however, will now come standard on 20-inch rims with summer tires.

Mechanically, nothing changes in the TT’s world. The TT and TT roadster are still powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The TTS, meanwhile, is motivated by a more powerful 2.0-liter pushing out 288 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Every TT routes its engine power through a dual-clutch automatic gearbox and quattro all-wheel drive.

Audi is adding a few new colors to the lineup, including Chronos Grey and Navarra Blue, which are now offered for both the TT and TTS. Perhaps the best part is now you can have all that extra standard equipment without spending any extra cash. Audi hasn’t changed the pricing on any of the TT models, so the ’21 TT coupe starts at $46,495, the convertible at $49,995, and the TTS at $55,495. The improved value is nice, even if it’s not quite enough to distract us from 2021 perhaps being the iconic TT’s final year with us.
