TL;DR: As of Sept. 24, you can get the Petoi Bittle: Palm-Sized Robot Dog(opens in a new tab) for just $296.10 with code ROBOT10 — that’s a 10% discount.

Dogs are wonderful companions, but they probably aren’t the best teachers if you want to learn how to code. Your child’s love for animals might be what gets them into STEM. Petoi Bittle is a palm-sized programmable robot dog(opens in a new tab) that may help your child learn to write Scratch, C++, and more. The Peto Bittle is also on sale for $296.10 with code ROBOT10 at checkout.

A new dog and endless new tricks

If you want to give your child a fun opportunity to learn coding and get familiar with hardware that’s still used by professional robotics professionals, then check out this little dog. Bittle is an open-source bionic dog with full-legged motion that can be programmed and edited, much like everything else about Bittle.

When you receive your Petoi Bittle, the first step is to put it together. Assembling the five-component system could be a fun first task. The Raspberry Pi and Camera are not included with this kit, but they can be purchased separately and integrated with the rest of the dog.

Just like training a real dog, Bittle may be able to learn a lot of new tricks. With your purchase, you’ll get the STEM and robotics kit(opens in a new tab). Check out materials on coding, customizing and programming Bittle, and more. After some practice, you may be able to develop new four-legged gaits, among other exciting tricks.

Bittle is programmable with Scratch, C++, and Python. Scratch is a simple coding language generally for new programmers and children, but C++ and Python are used across industries. Once your young STEM learner has a handle on Scratch, they could try their hand at other languages and see how much more there is to do.

Your child’s love of STEM might start with Bittle

If you want to help your child get interested in STEM, Bittle might be a fun way to get them started. For a limited time, get a Petoi Bittle: Palm-Sized Robot Dog(opens in a new tab) on sale for $296.10 with code ROBOT10 at checkout.
