After months of drama, spitting, and speculation, fans and nosey people alike ran to the cinema to see what all that worrying was about.

It turns out Don’t Worry Darling, Olivia Wilde’s much-anticipated psychological thriller starring Florence Pugh and Harry Styles, is a real “go-to-the-theater” kind of movie. While the movie received a 38 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, it topped the box office its opening weekend thanks to a perfect cocktail of celebrity gossip, internet memes, and Styles stans.

According to Variety, the movie brought in $19.2 million in ticket sales this weekend domestically and $30 million globally. 66 percent of ticket buyers were female and 70 percent were 18-34 years old suggesting that Styles stans showed up for their idol, despite less than favorable reviews of his performance.
