Google Pixel 7 specs leak: What do you think?

TL;DR

  • Google Pixel 7 specs have apparently leaked online.
  • The specs show a phone that’s extremely similar to its predecessor.

Google will fully reveal the Pixel 7 series on October 6, but we’ve already seen a host of leaks related to the phones. Now, a trusted tipster has dished out a spec sheet for the vanilla Pixel 7.

Leaker Yogesh Brar tweeted a Pixel 7 specs sheet today (September 26), reiterating some details while also delivering previously unreported tidbits. Core specs point to the previously confirmed Tensor G2 SoC, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage. You’re also getting a 6.3-inch FHD+ 90Hz OLED screen.

We also get apparent battery and charging details, with Brar claiming that the Pixel 7 has a ~4,700mAh battery with 30W fast charging and wireless charging support. That battery capacity is a mild upgrade at best over the Pixel 6‘s 4,614mAh capacity.

We’re also intrigued by the mention of 30W fast charging support. Google previously implied that the Pixel 6 series offered 30W wired charging support and suggested that the phones worked best with its official 30W charger. But our own testing revealed that the standard model actually supported 21W charging while the Pro version supported 23W speeds. So we hope 30W charging support here means that the phone actually reaches those speeds — and for more than a minute.

What do you think of the Pixel 7 based on leaked specs?

As for camera details, the Pixel 7 will reportedly have a 50MP main and 12MP ultrawide rear pairing. The phone is also tipped to have an 11MP selfie shooter instead of an 8MP sensor. These camera details are in line with a previous leak.

Other specs mentioned by Brar include Android 13 (as you’d expect), stereo speakers, Bluetooth LE, and support for the Titan chip. Either way, it’s believed that the Pixel 7 could have the same $600 price tag as its predecessor.
