When it comes to video game horror franchises, many have come and gone. Dead Space, Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, just to name few. While some of those are still around to some degree, not one of them can touch the longevity of Resident Evil. The series launched in 1996 and has been semi-annual ever since, and is still going strong. It’s now crossed a major milestone of over 100 million units sold.
