SAVE $120: As of Oct. 11, the Acer Chromebook 512(opens in a new tab) is on sale for just $79.99 at Amazon during the Prime Early Access Sale — that’s a 60% discount and the lowest price to date by far.

A Chromebook for less than $150 is a beautiful thing. A Chromebook for only $80 is practically unheard of — or it was, until Amazon delivered this Acer Chromebook 512(opens in a new tab) deal for Prime Day 2 (don’t say Bezos never gave us anything).

As of Oct. 11, the Acer Chromebook 512 is on sale for just $79.99 at Amazon during the Prime Early Access Sale — that’s 60% in savings and its lowest price ever, by a long shot.

Chromebooks don’t seem to get enough love. Not only are they super affordable, but they’re also easy to tote around, make great starter laptops for kids, and are the best choice for paranoid internet users. The Acer Chromebook 512 is no exception.

The 512 comes in a 12-inch and 14-inch configuration, though only the 12-inch model is on sale for this insanely low price. Like most Chromebooks, it has 4 GB of RAM and a 32 GB storage capacity, which is no biggie because it’s designed to be cloud-based. That means everything you do is automatically backed up on Google Drive (you’ll get 100GB of Google Drive space), so you don’t need all that extra storage space on your hard drive. This is also a big perk for kids who forget to save their schoolwork or tend to break things.

This model also comes with an Intel Celeron N4020 processor, a 1280 x 720 webcam with a wide-angle lens, two USB Type-C ports, two USB 3.1 ports, and a 12-hour battery capacity. It’s certainly not the most advanced computer you can buy, but for only $80, who cares?
