TL;DR

  • Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S23 phones have appeared on the FCC’s website.
  • The listings seem to confirm the processors are made by Qualcomm.
  • The listings also reveal the size of the battery.

The launch of the Galaxy S23 series is getting closer and closer. And in preparation for that launch, Samsung has sent not one, not two, but all three of its phones to the FCC for certification.

In the last 24 hours, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus were found on the FCC’s certification website. Today, the final piece of the puzzle — the Galaxy S23 Ultra — has emerged as well.

These devices sport the model numbers SMS911B (Galaxy S23), SMS916B (Galaxy S23 Plus), and SMS918B (Galaxy S23 Ultra). The model numbers suggest that these handsets are the European variants rather than the US models. The US versions would have a model number with a “U” at the end instead of a “B.”

Unfortunately, there are no images provided with the listings. However, there are a few details to take away. The filings reveal that the Galaxy S23 will likely come with a 3900mAh battery, while the Galaxy S23 Plus could have a 4700mAh battery.

Other details found in the listings suggest the phones could have wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare. Additionally, the phones are said to have a processor made by Qualcomm, which supports the idea that Samsung is going with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip for its latest phones.

Although there aren’t a ton of details to parse through, these filings seem to corroborate many of the leaks we’ve been seeing. In addition to this information, we recently learned when we could potentially get an unveiling of the Galaxy S23 series, thanks to a Samsung executive.
