This tool is designed to provide invaluable data in image and video searches

TL;DR: As of Dec. 18, you can save 10% on images and videos on iStock during its final sale of the year using promo code SAVE10. Plus, take advantage of their new VisualGPS Insights tool for free.

Data is an increasingly valuable asset in the digital age. Yet, while there is a lot of weight placed on the words we enter into search engines via SEO tools, campaigns, and professionals, you tend to hear less about capitalizing on what visuals people are searching for, even though the value of imagery and video online is without question.

To address this, iStock — a leading ecommerce platform providing premium images, videos, illustrations, and more — has an exciting new interactive visual trends tool called VisualGPS Insights. Its interactive capabilities include real-time data from over 2.7 billion annual searches and download queries from Getty Images and iStock. Its value is positioned as being similar to that of written SEO, which is — that with this data — small businesses and marketers can be better informed and guided on how to create their own campaigns while easing the process of selecting visuals that resonate with consumers.

Using iStock’s VisualGPS Insights tool is made to be easy and free. To access it, simply go to the iStock VisualGPS Insights page, type in a search term for an image or video, and discover analytics on how it’s trending and being used.

For example, if you are working on a blog post for a tech-driven brand and you want to see the visual trends related to the word “computer,” simply type it in and check out the results. You can set the length of the results you want to analyze anywhere from the last year to the last seven days, and you can scale your search from worldwide to different regions and industries. Some examples of what such a search can yield include a graph showcasing the search interest in your term over time, interest by industry, a map of interest by region, search terms related to computers, popular visuals related to computers, and more.

When the type of content that moves the world changes so rapidly, this tool could be incredibly valuable to better connect with your audiences, especially as we head into 2023.
