Yellowstone: How To Watch, What Streaming Service Is It On, And When Does It Air?

Yellowstone has been a smashing success for Paramount network. The Season 5 debut back in November 2022 reached 8.8 million viewers with its premiere, surpassing other massive shows like HBO’s House of the Dragon. However, people new to the show may be a little confused on how to watch the show, as its streaming rights aren’t very straightforward.

Starring Kevin Costner as Montana cattle ranch owner John Dutton, the series follows the Yellowstone ranch as outside forces try to take his land–land that’s been in his family’s name for generations. Dutton is surrounded by a strong family that are all on their own path, which may or may not align with John’s vision.

In addition to Costner, the show stars Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton, Wes Bently as Jamie Dutton, Cole Hauser as rancher Rip, and Kelsey Asbille as Kayce’s wife Monica. Here’s how you can watch the show for yourself.

Where to stream Yellowstone:

*=Seasons and/or episodes must be purchased.

How to watch Yellowstone:

The rights to the Yellowstone television universe–which is totally a thing–are a bit complicated. The main series airs on the Paramount Network, and you can access that through your cable or satellite provider. If you don’t have one of those, the show is available on live TV streaming services, many of which have video on-demand. It’s the best way to catch up if you can’t watch it live.

The Paramount Network site will allow you to watch the current season of Yellowstone, as long as you have access to cable, satellite, or an approved streaming service. However, you can unlock a 24-hour pass in order to watch it online. Additionally, the first episode of Season 5 is available to watch for free. No, the current season is not on Paramount+, Paramount’s streaming service. Yes, it’s confusing.

There’s also the option to purchase the current season–or previous ones–of Yellowstone from a service like Vudu, iTunes, and more..

To stream previous seasons of Yellowstone, you’ll need an entirely different service: Peacock. The first four seasons are available on the streaming service right now. However, you’ll need the Premium subscription in order to do so. Check out the handy list below to see where to watch Yellowstone and direct links to watch it now.

When does Yellowstone air?:

You can watch the show as it airs on Paramount Network–or VOD on various services. Part 1 of Season 5 of Yellowstone has already aired, so there are eight episodes of the show to catch up on.

Part 2 of Season 5 of Yellowstone will arrive sometime this summer. An exact release date has not been announced yet.

When the show returns, new episodes of Yellowstone will more than likely return to its time slot on the Paramount Network on Sundays at 8 PM ET.
