I hope Sony and third party developers do start investing in VR and make full games centered arond VR. Imagine an Uncharted game in VR, finding treasure, traversing the landscape in first person, puzzle solving, and frantic shoot outside.
Yet I believe if many devs start making VR games there would be some that would say that they don’t want them because VR is still niche, or they don’t want to invest in another device just to play the games. There will be others that probably try to claim some kind of anti consumerism because their platform might not have anyway to do VR and some how it isn’t fair since they would be excluded.
Its about time that VR be taken seriously by gamers and developers/publishers. All games should have the option to either play the game on a flat screen or in VR a la Resident Evil7.
