Galaxy A54 and A34 price leak shows big increase, but maybe not in US

TL;DR

  • A new leak suggests the A54 and A34 could get a price bump in the EU.
  • The A54 may come in at €519, while the A34 could have a price tag of €419.
  • It’s unclear if this price increase will come to the US as well.

Last week we got our best look at the Samsung Galaxy A54 and A34 yet through leaked renders. This week, we got a new leak, but this time it’s about the prices of both handsets.

It was a bit of a bummer when we found out that Samsung would be increasing the global price of the next entries in the Galaxy S series. And it looks like the company is going to make the same move with the A54 and A34. According to tipster SnoopyTech, the two phones may get a price bump in the EU.

Galaxy A14: €219
Galaxy A34: €419
Galaxy A54: €519

Last month we reported on a leak that suggested that the Galaxy A34 5G would ship for somewhere between €410 to €430 and the higher-end A54 5G would range from €530 to €550. This new leak nails down the cost at €419 for the A34 and €519 for the A54.

For comparison, the A33 was listed at €369 and the A53 sold at €449 when they launched. That would equal out to a €50 and a €70 increase for the A34 and A54, respectively. That’s kind of a bitter pill to swallow when these phones are specifically meant to cater to those looking for a budget phone.

While these could be the prices we see in the EU, it’s uncertain if US consumers will also experience this price bump. Samsung didn’t increase the price of the Galaxy S23 series stateside, so there’s a good chance it won’t for these phones.

Although Samsung has avoided saying anything official about the A54 and A34, we could see these new phones launch as early as March 15.
